Originally from Massachusetts, I was born and lived in Dracut, MA for 10 years when my family moved to Lisbon, Connecticut. Throughout my high school career I found myself taking more and more art classes, though not intentionally at first. I found my stride and passion which led me to Boston and Suffolk University in pursuit of more. I am graduating with a BFA from Suffolk this May, 2017, studying Fine Arts with a minor in Arts Administration.
Along with working on my art, I worked in the Suffolk University Undergraduate Admissions Office as a Trustee Ambassador, giving tours of the campus. I will be continuing in the Admissions Office full time starting this summer as an Admission Counselor and liaison to the art school. In addition, I work at Field and Vase by Stow Greenhouse, a local grown, farm-to-vase florist, which is where I draw some of my inspiration and materials from.
My work is a way of understanding my surroundings and my mind. It is a medium in which thoughts are brought to light before consciousness fully realizes them. For me, art has always been associated with movement. Originally expressed through dance, it is now present in the choreography of manipulating materials, a quiet dance of eye and hand.
